Nepse drops over 27 points as all sector indices fall
Turnover reaches Rs7.73 billion with Nepal Reinsurance leading the day’s transactions.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) began the week on a negative note, shedding 27.14 points to close at 2,761.22 on Sunday.
The benchmark index slipped by 0.97 percent compared to the previous trading day, as all sectoral sub-indices ended in the red.
A total of 20.51 million shares of 317 companies were traded in 86,669 transactions, amounting to Rs7.73 billion in turnover, according to the stock exchange.
By sector, banking dropped 1.03 percent, development banks 0.51 percent, finance 0.93 percent, hotels and tourism 0.21 percent, hydropower 0.77 percent, investment 0.83 percent and life insurance 0.71 percent. Manufacturing and processing lost 1 percent, microfinance 1.31 percent, mutual funds 0.10 percent, non-life insurance 0.68 percent, trading 1.64 percent and others 1.34 percent.
Among individual stocks, RBB Mutual Fund–1 posted the highest gain of the day, rising 7.93 percent, while Samprada Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha suffered the steepest fall, dropping 7.06 percent.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited led the market by transaction value with trades worth Rs516.7 million, while RBB Mutual Fund–1 topped the volume chart with 1.36 million shares changing hands.
