AmCham Nepal, US Department of Commerce host high-level webinar to boost ICT Trade

The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Nepal, in partnership with the US Embassy and the US Department of Commerce’s Commercial Service, hosted a high-level webinar focused on expanding commercial opportunities in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector between Nepal and the United States. Titled “US-Nepal Commercial Opportunities in the ICT Sector,” the event attracted nearly 100 senior ICT professionals, including CEOs and representatives from AmCham, the Confederation of Nepalese Industries, the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Nepal Association for Software and IT Services. Key government and private sector leaders from both countries participated, exchanging insights on growing trade and investment prospects, particularly in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data centres, and other emerging technologies. Mark Templer, Political and Economic Chief at the US Embassy in Kathmandu, lauded Nepal’s innovation potential.
