Fonepay, Nepal’s leading digital payment network, has announced the Fonepay Student Ambassador Programme 2025, a nationwide platform designed to empower university students to lead in digital literacy, fintech innovation, and community impact.
The “Time to Teach Back” initiative is a unique aspect of the programme, which encourages student ambassadors to actively engage with older family and community members, sharing their knowledge of digital finance tools and helping bridge the generational digital divide. This year, the programme saw an incredible response with over 170 teams applying from across Nepal.
After a competitive selection process, 75 teams—150 students—have been shortlisted to represent their colleges and provinces in this unique journey toward leadership and digital transformation. The eight-week program will challenge students to promote digital finance, create engaging content, and build leadership and communication skills.
