Intrepid Travel appoints new country general manager for Nepal
Yalamber brings over 15 years of experience in the adventure travel sector and has been with Intrepid for three years, having most recently served as operations manager.

Intrepid Travel has promoted Yalamber Rai to general manager of its Nepal business, effective April 1.
Yalamber brings over 15 years of experience in the adventure travel sector and has been with Intrepid for three years, having most recently served as operations manager.
During this time, the company said in a statement that he has played a pivotal role in strengthening safety protocols, improving operational systems, and building a high-performing and inclusive team culture. As general manager, Yalamber will lead a team of 59 and oversee the delivery of hundreds of trips annually.
In 2024, Intrepid welcomed more than 3,500 travellers to Nepal. “I’m incredibly proud to step into this role and continue building on our strong foundations in Nepal, delivering meaningful travel experiences that support our communities and showcase the best of this country,” Yalamber said.
This leadership appointment forms part of Intrepid’s broader 2030 strategy to serve over 600,000 travellers annually, with Asia playing a key role in scaling purpose-led travel. In 2024, Intrepid Nepal was recognised as the country’s top foreign currency earner among Nepal’s trekking agencies, reflecting its contribution to the economy and growing influence in the tourism sector.
