Post Report
The Nepal Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum (NYEF) is set to launch the third edition of ‘Made in Nepal’ campaign in an expanded and vibrant format. The ‘Made in Nepal Expo and Food Festival 2025’ will take place from April 11 to 15 in Bharatpur, Chitwan.
The event, officially inaugurated by Bharatpur Metropolitan City Mayor Renu Dahal at 11 am on Friday, will remain open from 10 am to 6 pm daily until April 15, with free entry for all visitors. The evening segment—the Grand Food Festival—will run from 5 pm to 9 pm, featuring a rich display of Nepal’s culinary heritage.
According to NYEF, live music performances by top Nepali artists will be a major highlight, including: The Edge Band (April 11), Rockhead (April 12), Purna Rai & The Pariwartan (April 13), The Swar (April 14), Uday & Jhakkas (April 15).
Concert tickets are priced at Rs 300 (advance booking via Khalti app) or Rs 500 (on-site purchase). However, the main expo remains free of charge.
A press release issued by NYEF on Thursday stated that the expo will feature over 100 stalls across sectors such as agriculture, construction, technology, handicrafts, traditional wear, green industries, food and beverages, real estate, and innovation. Ten promising startups will receive special exposure, while dedicated stalls for women, rural entrepreneurs, and minority groups will ensure inclusive participation.
A “Made in Bharatpur” section will spotlight local products from the host city.
The Food Festival will offer a diverse range of traditional dishes—from Thakali, Tharu, Tamang, and Newari to Terai cuisines—alongside organic produce, live cooking demonstrations, food art installations, and photo-friendly spaces.
To inspire young entrepreneurs, the event will include student-focused sessions on startup pitching, poetry, motivational speaking, and innovation showcases. Panel discussions will explore topics such as: Rooted in Chitwan, Thriving Beyond; IT in Nepal: A Game Changer or Just Another Hype?; The Entrepreneur’s Journey: Success, Struggles & Lessons Learned; From Classrooms to Startups; Inside the Minds of Gen Z Entrepreneurs; and Offbeat and On Track: Building a Career Beyond the Mainstream, among others.
Barasinghe is the event’s title sponsor, with support from Kajaria, Delish, Hotel Siraichuli, Ncell, Hulas Infra, TSN Event, and others.
The event is jointly organised by NYEF, NYEF Connect, the Chitwan Chamber of Commerce, and Bharatpur Metropolitan City.
NYEF emphasised that the Made in Nepal Expo 2081–82 is more than a trade fair—it is a celebration of Nepali pride, creativity, and self-reliance, fostering a resilient national economy through youth-led innovation and local enterprise.
