Muktishree plans jobs for village youth
Muktishree Group, a Nepali company, on Tuesday announced partnership with RuralShores India and Inclusive Ventures Limited to create jobs in villagesRural Shores, a Bangalore-based social enterprise, works in creating jobs in villages by training and employing rural youth. Inclusive Ventures Limited is a socio-economic investment vehicle established by certain EMBA 2014-2015 cohorts of the Said Business School of the University of Oxford to make investments in ‘social impact and inclusive enterprises.’
Once the agreement is signed, Muktishree plans to launch multiple training and employment centres in rural Nepal, starting the programme in Hetauda, followed by Lumbini. Muktishree Group Chairman Ajeya Raj Sumargi said, “We are proud to launch this initiative to coincide with the inaugural visit of (Indian) Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Nepal. RuralShores is a great company and our rural youths will benefit immensely from being empowered and skilled.”
Murali Vulaganti, chief executive officer of RuralShores said that the ‘RuralShores’ model of serving the rural youth with employment opportunities through Impact Sourcing is as relevant to other developing countries as it is for Rural India. “We are happy to partner with Oxford-based Inclusive Venture and Muktishree Group to bring this initiative to Nepal,” he added. Mohamed Amersi, chairman of Inclusive Ventures Limited, praised RuralShores as being iconic, inclusive and innovative. “We look forward to the partnership with RuralShores in developing their proprietary model outside India through rural on-shoring and reverse innovation,” Amersi said.
