India has released Rs555 million for the construction of two road packages under the Postal Highway Project.
India has released Rs555 million for the construction of two road packages under the Postal Highway Project. Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy Ajay Kumar handed over a cheque to Secretary at the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Madhusudan Adhikari at Singha Durbar in Kathmandu on Tuesday. According to the embassy, the amount covers 25 percent of tendered cost (including 10 percent mobilisation advance) of the two road packages of
Birgunj-Thori Road being implemented under Postal Highway Project in Nepal with grant assistance from the government of India. With this payment, India has released INR 1.17 billion to Nepal for implementing 14 packages of the Postal Highway Project. The construction of Dhangadhi-Bhajaniya-Satti and Lamki-Tikapur-Khakraula roads have been completed with the Indian grant assistance.
