A man was beaten to death in a remote village of Makwanpur district.

Arun Darji, 18, and Buddhi Bahadur Darji, 35, of Raksirang Rural Municipality-2 attacked and killed Prakash BK, 28, police said.

BK had come to his in-laws house at Bhati in Raksisang Rural Municipality-2 to celebrate Maghe Sankranti.

According to a preliminary investigation, the trio had consumed alcohol at a local tavern on the day of Maghe Sankranti.

Prakash was critically injured after the Darji duo attacked him on his head with a baton over a minor dispute.

Incapacitated in the incident, Prakash breathed his last during the course of treatment on Tuesday morning, Inspector Chakra Ghale of the Area Police Office, Manahari, informed.

Police said that they have arrested the Darji duo for investigation.
