A team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested an engineer of the Irrigation Development Division Office, Kaski, on bribery charge.

The CIAA team caught Govinda Bhurtel along with Rs 50,000 cash that he had received from the Birauta-based CM Perfect JV Construction to issue work experience letter. 

The firm had submitted an application at the office seeking an experience letter of construction. But Bhurtel had demanded Rs 50,000 for the job, a CM Perfect representative said. 

The firm had reported on Bhurtel to the CIAA.
