A team from the embassy had, on July 12, visited the Nepalis detained at the centre and discussed rescue plans.
It is estimated that 1,500 Nepali migrants are languishing in different detention centres of Malaysia.
With the recent crackdown by the Malaysia authorities on illegal workers, the number could be higher.
In the first week of the crackdown, which began with the end of the June 30 registration deadline, nearly 150 Nepali workers were arrested.
According to the Immigration Department of Malaysia, 485,000 Nepalis are currently working in the country.
Of the total Nepali workers, the Malaysian authority estimates that nearly 25 percent are illegal.
