Tibetan team meets Nidhi

The meeting was mainly focussed on the possible visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Nepal next year, cultural and political ties between Nepal and China, according to a statement.
Nidhi told the visiting Tibetan delegation that Nepal attaches great importance to its ties with China and is committed to the One-China policy. He also pledged that anti-China activities would not be allowed to take place in the Nepali territory.
DPM Nidhi drew the attention of the Chinese delegates to the need to reopen the Tatopani transit point that remains closed following the earthquakes last year. He said Nepal wants to utilise the opportunities created by China’s economic growth.
Baima expressed the Chinese commitment to the reconstruction of the Araniko Highway. As a good neighbour of Nepal, the Chinese government would always extend support to Nepal’s development endeavours, he added. He earlier held separate talks with Speaker Onasari Gharti and Local Development Minister Hitraj Pandey.
