The CPN (Maoist Centre) headquarters has entrusted party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal with fulfilling the vacant positions in party committees with necessary consultations.
According to leader Haribol Gajurel, Monday’s meeting decided to authorise Dahal to select candidates for 60 out of the 77 vacant positions in the 299-member Politburo.
Seventeen members of the 99-strong party secretariat are vacant while 10 members of the 33-member central party office need to be appointed.
Gajurel said Dahal would prepare the list of appointees after consultation with leaders. Following the merger of ten Maoist forces, the Maoist Centre formed a 1499-member Convention Organising Committee which also works as its central committee.
