As per the information provided by Nepal Police on Sunday, the highest number of fatalities are from Central region that stands at 5,833 out of which 1,713 are from Kathmandu Valley alone.
Similarly, 419 people lost their lives in Western region, 53 in Eastern and two in Mid Western Region, Nepal Police stated.
So far, 16,033 people have sustained injuries in the deadly quake. Of those, 5,996 are still receiving treatment.
Nepal Police have handed over 7, 941 dead bodies while 30 bodies still remains to be identified.
