Constitution drafting process won't be scrapped: DPM Singh
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Development Prakash Man Singh said that the ongoing process for new constitution in the CA would not be scrapped at any cost.While talking to the journalists after inauguration of the Salleri Chyalsa Hydel Project here in the district on Wednesday, DPM Singh said that the CA meeting has been postponed for forging consensus. He, however, said that the constitution would be promulgated even through voting process if consensus bid failed.
The Deputy PM said that current deadlock in CA was due to the obstruction of opposition parties pointing out that they don't have any alternative than taking part in the constitution drafting process.
DPM Singh said that the hindrances caused by the opposition parties was obstruting the local bodies election even though it is of the utmost priority.
He further said that irregularities were seen in the local bodies due to the absence of elected representatives in local bodies and it was essential even for transitional management. RSS
