Ekantipur Report
“The initial investigation has revealed that the recklessness of driver caused the accident. Further investigation will decide what action should be taken,” said DoTM Director General Kashi Raj Dahal, adding “as of now, we have circulated an order to put a halt on the operation of business of both these bus companies for 15 days.”
The Biratnagar-bound bus belonging to Shuvashree Yatayat has cost the lives of 10 people as it hit a Metro Deluxe bus that was en route to Kathmandu from Ilam on Saturday morning.
According to Dahal, if actions are not taken against such sheer negligence of transportation means, it will further give rise to the state of anarchy.
He also suggested general public to opt for alternative transportation companies as the route permit of these two companies has been terminated as of now.
Dahal also stated that they have been looking whether the route permit of these buses were timely renewed or not. He further stated that the concerned stakeholders have been corresponded regarding their decision to terminate the route permit of these buses.
