Police have detained one person after a woman’s body was found wrapped in plastic and a bedsheet at Kathmandu’s New Bus Park in Gongabu.

Officers said they have not disclosed further details as questioning is ongoing. The body was discovered on Saturday near the main road.

An initial inquiry suggests the woman was killed. A police officer said investigators are examining why and how the incident occurred.
