At least 16 injured during Maghe Sankranti celebrations at Tundikhel

At least 16 people were injured during Maghe Sankranti celebrations at Tundikhel, Kathmandu on Monday.
A police constable is one of the injured ones, according to Superintendent of Police Kumud Dhungel, spokesperson for the District Police Range Kathmandu.
The injured are undergoing treatment at the National Trauma Centre, police said, adding their condition is normal.
According to police, the people sustained injuries as they were pushed by others while entering and exiting the festival site.
Thousands of people from Magar and Tharu communities thronged Tundikhel to celebrate the festival.
