A man and his daughter died when a landslide buried a house in Cho village in Tarakeswar Municipality-5 of Kathmandu on Saturday night.
According to police, a 41-year-old man and his 15-year-old daughter from Nuwakot, died when the mudslide washed away the house of local Chandra Tamang at around 9pm. The deceased were tenants.
Krishna Hari Maharjan, mayor of Tarakeswar Municipality, said the man’s wife has sustained injuries while his son managed to escape unhurt.
The bodies have been kept at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for post-mortem.
