Bike hit kills foreign ministry official

An official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs died after being hit by a speeding motorcycle at Anamnagar, Kathmandu on Thursday.
According to police, the female official, aged 32, deployed at the United Nations, International Organizations & International Law Division of the ministry, was hit by the motorcycle while she was crossing a road.
The injured official was rushed to Kathmandu Model Hospital for treatment. She died while undergoing treatment, said police.
The officer had entered the foreign service in 2012 and had earlier served at the Nepali Embassy in Israel.
Police informed that the motorcycle rider, who was injured in the incident, is undergoing treatment at National Trauma Centre.
