Fire breaks out on Bhrikutimandap premises
Police say security personnel, firefighters deployed.

Kathmandu
A fire broke out on the Bhrikutimandap premises at around 3pm on Wednesday.
According to Santosh Singh Rathore, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, the fire started at a wheelchair warehouse run by the National Federation of Disabled-Nepal.

“We are yet to ascertain the cause of the fire,” said Rathore.
According to Superintendent Dinesh Raj Mainali, firefighters from Kathmandu and Lalitpur have been deployed to the incident site to control the fire.

“The fire is still raging on,” said Mainali. “We are trying our best to bring the fire under control.”
Further details about the incident will be known after preliminary investigation, said police.
