A woman died after being crushed by a stone while digging mud to daub the house’s wall in Gurbhakot Municipality-7 of Surkhet district on Thursday.

Police identified the deceased as Jyoti Oli, 38, of Sanothakeni in Gurbhakot-7.

Superintendent of Police Rupesh Khadka said she was crushed to death by a falling stone while digging the mud near a local stream.

The body has been sent to Mehalkuna Hospital for post-mortem, said police.
