One dead, 21 injured in passenger bus accident

At least one person died and 21 others were injured in a bus accident in Salyan on Wednesday.
The accident occurred after the out-of-control vehicle, travelling towards Rukum from Ghorahi, fell off the Thinbang river bridge in ward 2 of Bagchaur Municipality at around 11am.
Forty-six-year-old Bishnu Bishwokarma, who had been seriously injured in the accident, died while undergoing treatment at the Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Nabin Karki.
All of the injured were rushed to the Janapriya Polyclinic for treatment. Nine passengers, who sustained serious injuries, have been taken to Nepalgunj and Dang for further treatment.
