5 killed as tractor carrying quake relief topples

A tractor carrying relief and construction materials for earthquake victims met with an accident in Aathbiskot Municipality on Wednesday night, killing five people and injuring nine others.
According to Police Inspector Dharmendra Khadka, information officer at Rukum West District Police Office, the vehicle was heading for Ghartigaun from ward 9 of Aathbiskot and met with an accident at 10 pm.
The deceased are a 46-year-old man of Aathbiskot-10 and her 42-year-old wife, a 52-year-old woman, a 48-year-old man, and a 47-year-old woman of Aathbiskot-8.
The injured are out of danger, and are being treated at Aathbiskot Municipal Hospital, said Khadka.
