Election police training begins in Salyan

Training for the election police recruited for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5 has begun at five locations in the district.
The sessions are being held at Luhaping in the district headquarters, Area Police Office Tharmare, Area Police Office Luham, Area Police Office Ragechaur, and Armed Police Force Luhaping.
Of the 1,406 election police required for 117 polling stations and 205 polling centres, 860 are being trained at the district police office, 150 each at Ragechaur, Tharmare, and Luham, and 96 at the Armed Police Force Luhaping, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Hem Bahadur KC.
Among those recruited, 447 are women.
