A man was found dead in Malneta of Sharada Municipality-14 on Thursday.
According to the police, 55-year-old Bir Bahadur Giri allegedly committed suicide by hanging inside a house close to his own residence in Tusare on Thursday morning.
Bir Bahadur was accused of the murder of 47-year-old Pramila Giri. The latter was found dead near her house four days ago with a cut on her throat.
A police complaint had been filed against Bir Bahadur on August 6 accusing him of the crime. He had been absconding since.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
