Nepal on Monday reported 25 new PCR-confirmed coronavirus cases in a total of 488 tests, taking the nationwide infection tally to 1,001,248.

Similarly, 44 people tested positive in a total of 778 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

The ministry released the data on new infections over the last four days in its daily situation report on Monday. 

As of Monday, 6,018,988 PCR and 1,536,684 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 12,020 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 989,162 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; one of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 66.

Nepal on Sunday reported 16 new PCR-confirmed coronavirus cases.
