Voting is underway in the Himalayan district of Manang, but three of the five polling centres in the remote Narpabumi Rural Municipality have yet to receive any voters.
Chief District Officer Navaraj Poudyal said wards 1 and 3 (Nar) and ward 4 (Phu) have yet to see any voters. All five centres in Narpabumi are classified as highly sensitive by the District Security Committee.
Manang has 29 polling centres, including one temporary site, serving 7,000 registered voters—3,623 women and 3,377 men. This marks an increase of 221 voters from the 6,779 who were registered in the 2022 parliamentary elections.
