Police on Monday arrested a 35-year-old man on the charge of murdering a 20-year-old man in ward 13 of Waling Municipality.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Indra Bahadur Rana, spokesperson at Syangja District Police Office, the accused was taken into police custody for allegedly murdering the victim, who was also his flatmate, by slitting his throat with a knife on Sunday night.
The victim died in the course of treatment at a local primary health centre.
The reason behind the attack is not yet known. Further investigation into the matter is underway, said Rana.
