A 12-year-old boy from ward 7 of Rainas Municipality went missing in a local Chepe River on Wednesday evening.
According to Police Inspector Buddhi Prasad Subedi of the Dhamilikuwa Area Police Office, the boy went missing in the river, which is around 2 km from the municipality, at around 5:30 while swimming with his friends.
A search for the boy is going on with the help of security personnel and locals, said Subedi.
