At least 45 people were injured in a microbus accident in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City on Sunday.
According to the police, the passenger vehicle veered off the road and fell into a ravine near the Daandako Naak Police Beat in Pokhara-27.
Police Inspector Subash Timilsina informed that the injured are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the city.
Timilsina informed that a preliminary investigation revealed that the accident was caused due to a brake failure.
“Most of the injured are students who had arrived to participate in the convocation ceremony of Pokhara University scheduled for Monday,” Timilsina said.
The driver of the vehicle has been arrested and further investigation into the accident is underway, police said.
