Four people living in a shed on the banks of the Ungilung river in Chumchet, Chumnubri Rural Municipality-6, have been reported missing following flooding in the Budhi Gandaki river on Sunday morning.
A landslide near the Ungilung river triggered flooding that flowed through the Syar river into the Budhi Gandaki river.
Sherap Gurung, a resident of Chumnubri-6, said the four had been unaccounted for since early Sunday morning.
“Villagers have gone to look for them, but they say they cannot even find the shed. We are searching for them,” he said.
All four had been living in the shed, Gurung said.
