Sudurpaschim Royals put up a 170-run target against Chitwan Rhinos in the Nepal Premier League match at the TU International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur on Thursday.
Sudurpaschim made a steady start after being put to bat first. Binod Bhandari scored 21 off 17 before falling in the sixth over. Ishan Pandey lasted only four balls.
Chris Lynn held the innings together with a controlled 75 runs off 56. He struck five fours and three sixes before retiring hurt. Puneet Mehra added 13, and Harmeet Singh departed for one, leaving Sudurpaschim on 92-4 in the 13th over.
Aarif Sheikh and Dipendra Singh Airee lifted the innings in the final phase. Both remained unbeaten on 24 runs, putting 169 runs on the board at the loss of four wickets.
Chitwan’s Ranjit Kumar was the pick with one for 16 runs in his four-over spell. Saif Zaib took two wickets, giving away 35 runs, while George Scrimshaw claimed one but conceded 40 runs. Kushal Malla and Rijan Dhakal went wicketless, each giving away 36 and 40, respectively.
