Karnali Yaks set a moderate target of 129 runs against Lumbini Lions at their ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL) at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, on Friday.

Winning the toss, Lumbini Lions chose to field first restricting Karnali Yaks to 128 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Karnali’s Will Bosisto contributed the most runs 45 off 30 balls, Arjun Bitalu chipped in with 25 runs, opener Babar Hayat made 20 runs while Chadwick Walton made 15 runs. Karnali lost other batters cheaply with Dev Khanal at 3, Gulsan Jha at 8, Sompal Kami at 7 and Zeeshan Maqsood at 1*. Bosisto and Bitalu made a partnership of 72 runs.

For Lumbini Lions Vikash Agri took the major 3 wickets giving off just 14 runs. Tilak Bhandari took two wickets, while Ramon Simmonds, Saad Zafar and Rohit Paudel took a single wicket each.

Lumbini has already crashed out of playoff contention while Karnali stands fourth in the points table still in for playoff.
