Actress Barsha Siwakoti has been roped in for film journalist-turned-director Dipendra Lama’s next venture, Gopi.

Alongside Siwakoti, Gopi will feature actors Khagendra Lamichhane and Surakshya Panta in the lead roles.

“The script for Gopi has been finalised and we thought Barsha would fit well as one of the film’s characters,” director Lama said, adding that even though the film has two lead actresses, it won’t be a triangular love story.

Actor Lamichhane, who has previously shared the screen with both the actresses on different occasions, said he is glad to get to work with his former collaborators.

Actress Siwakoti said that she is excited about the prospect of an onscreen chemistry with actor Lamichhane.

Gopi, which is Lama’s second feature film, will go on the floor from August 17.

Gopi is being written and directed by Lama, cinematographed by Shailendra D Karki and will be edited by Nimesh Shrestha.

The film will hit screens early in March, 2019.
