Radio Kantipur on Monday announced the second round of the Radio On Wheels (RoW) campaign which will take place in all seven provinces across the country.
Organising a press meet in the Capital, the FM radio broadcaster announced its plans which will commence on June 11. The campaign is set to take place in cities such as Birtamode, Damak, Itahari, Dharan, Biratnagar, Birjung, Narayanghad, Butwal, Dhangadi, Nepalgunj, Pokhara, before wrapping up in Kathmandu. The campaign will entail live music shows, caricatures, game shows and various interactive programmes.
“It’s part of our approach to reach out to our audiences in the country’s new political set up. We will also be broadcasting live via Facebook,” Dinesh DC, station manager of Radio Kantipur, said.
Accompanying the Radio Kantipur team on tour will be artists Pratap Das, Kamal Khatri, Mandavi and caricature artist and radio presenter Asish Thakur.
During the tour, the team will also run live programmes in local languages. “We will be interacting with the local people in their own language as well as in Nepali, so that they can better identify with the programme,” DC said.
Established in 1998 with a three-hour slot in the national portal of Radio Nepal, Radio Kantipur today is broadcast live in all provinces.
