Three Nepali artists felicitated in Japan
Three Nepali artists received awards at the International Arts Competition and Exhibition, which took place in Japan last week.
Three Nepali artists received awards at the International Arts Competition and Exhibition, which took place at the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art in Nagoya Japan last week.
Organised by Global Arts Movement (GAM), the event honoured three Nepali artists—Krishna Gopal Shrestha, Sarita Dangol, and Sanjeet Maharjan—along with 12 artists from across the world.
Artist Dangol was presented with the Toyota City Assembly Chairman Award while artist Shrestha received Aichi Prefecture Assembly Chairman Award.
Also, artist Maharjan was awarded the Nikkan Industrial Shinbun Award during the competition.
The event included an exhibition of works by artists from 15 countries including Nepal, Japan, the Netherlands, India, Denmark, Turkey, the USA, and the Philipinnes, among others.
Nepali artists in the exhibit included Sandhya Silwal, Satyashila Kasaju, Astha Tuladhar, and Nara Bahadur BK.
