As part of a marketing gimmick, actor Pradip Khadka was handcuffed as he was directed to a witness box at a press meet on Wednesday.

At the press meet, organised to announce the production of Roji, producer Uddab Paudel started holding a criminal proceeding. In the short skit, Paudel accused the man in handcuffs of killing his girlfriend Roji Rana, and later informed the audience that the criminal proceeding forms the premise of the movie, which will be directed by Nirak Paudel. Before this, Nirak had directed Kusume Rumal 2 and Homework and said that this movie will be better than his previous directorial ventures.

The film was announced at the premises of Nepal Film Development Company in Balaju. The story for the film is written by Anup Sapkota, while Kedar Bhusal penned the dialogue and the screenplay. Actors Paramita RL Rana along with Meruna Magar will share the screen with Pradip Khadka.

Being produced under the banner of Gopi Krishna movies, the film will go into shooting from Sunday in various locations in Nepal, Dubai and the Philippines.
