Taking cue from their box office success over last year’s Dashain holidays, the third edition of Chhakka Panja is set for yet another Dashain release this year. Chhakka Panja 3 is set to go into production starting May 11. 

The producers have said that the script for Chhakka Panja 3 is yet to be finalised, and they are making some last minute changes to the script. 

Meanwhile actors like Deepak Raj Giri, Jitu Nepal, Kedar Ghimire, Buddhi Tamang, and Deepika Prasain have already been roped in to play the lead roles. 

Chhakka Panja 2, which released in late September last year marking the day of Fulpati, had opened big in its opening week at the box office, raking in around Rs 60 million in the first six days. 

Both the editions of Chhakka Panja, despite mixed reviews, have set benchmarks in box office collections in the Nepali film industry. When it opened, Chhakka Panja overtook the late Shree Krishna Shrestha-starrer Kohinoor at the box office to become the highest grossing movie in the industry. 

If Chhakka Panja gets released on the pre-set schedule, the film is likely to clash with Jaya Bhole at the box office.
