Brazillian novelist and lyricist Paulo Coelho’s upcoming book, HIPPIE—a memoir wherein the novelist recounts his journey from Amsterdam to Kathmandu in the 1970s—is due to release this summer, the novelist has announced via Facebook.
“My new book HIPPIE—to be published in summer everywhere—[sic] takes place in Sept 1970 when I was a hippie going to Kathmandu by bus (the so called “Magic Bus”),” the novelist announced via his verified page on Facebook. “I wonder if people still care about these times, but I had to follow my inner call.” Coelho, 70, is the author of around 20 books of fiction and non-fiction, with such worldwide hits as The Alchemist and Eleven Minutes to his credit.
HIPPIE will release worldwide from June to December.
