The event that was going to be organised by ODC Entertainment has been called off following threats from Akil Nepal Janasaanskritik Mahasangh, a sister organisation of Netra Bikarm Chand-led CPN Maoist. The CPN Maoist sister wing had issued a statement warning the organisers not to hold the event.
ODC Entertainment Chairman Simanta Gurung, citing ‘special reasons’, has said that the event has been called off for now. “The event has been postponed for now and we will organise the event in mid-April,” said Gurung, “Please keep your tickets safe. Those who have already bought the ticket will be granted entry to the event.”
Likewise, Gurung further informed that the date for holding the event in mid-April will be fixed after holding talks with the Bollywood superstar.
