The band is set to perform in Damak on January 12, Narayanghat on Jan 15 and Bhairahawa on Jan 18. According to Nepalaya, the band’s promoter, the lined up shows are a continuation of the open air concerts that were held in Kathmandu, Butwal and Pokhara last year.
Nepathya has already begun rehearsing for their concerts and the concert set will feature their old and new songs, including titles from their tenth studio album, the release of which marked the band’s silver jubilee.
“We had established a special bond with our listeners outside the Capital with our nation-wide peace concert tours during the conflict,” said Nepathya’s frontman Amrit Gurung, “We are always eager to connect with our listeners and we are fortunate to celebrate our 25 years with the audience from different parts of the country who has helped us sustain for such a long time.”
The organisers claim that the concerts will be technically sound; and to ensure a good time for the audience, the band is travelling with a technical team to all the designated cities.
Furthermore, as part of their celebration, Nepalaya is also bringing out a biography of the band, which is being written by Amrit Gurung.
