Spoken Word Nepal is hosting a poetry recital event in Birgunj on Jan 6. The event will feature poems written in Nepali, English, and other ethnic languages. The event will feature young poets based in Birgunj.
Word Warriors, the umbrella organisation of spoken word poets in Nepal, has been conducting the Write to Speak project in Birgunj, specialising in helping young poets develop their poetry writing and performing skills; the upcoming event is slated to mark the end of that event.
Write to Speak, a campaign that takes place in several cities across Nepal, has been introducing performance poetry to young men and women from diverse communities in Nepal.
The event will take place at Hotel Pujan on January 6, starting at 1 pm.
