An exhibit 40 years in the making

Yala Newami Collection, a photography exhibit featuring work by Danish photographer Bjørn, kicked off at Yala Mandala in Patan this weekend.
The exhibit will have on display a total of 34 photographs, taken by the photographer during his four-decade long stay in Nepal.
“Taking photographs is an intimate act for me,” Bjørn said, prior to the exhibit, “It is a way for me to connect to the people.”
The featured photographs depict the lifestyle of Newar community in the Kathmandu Valley.
The photographs on display are printed in either in 4x6 inch paper, 8x12 inch paper or 12x18 photo paper. All the photographs on display are on sale.
The exhibition will continue until December 18.
