Photo exhibition Yala Newami Collection is set to kick off on November 18 at Yala Mandala in Patan. The exhibit will feature works by photographer Bjørn, a long-time resident in Nepal.

The exhibit will have on display a total of 34 photographs, taken by the photographer during his over four-decade long stay in the country.

“Taking photographs is an intimate act for me,” Bjørn said, “It is a way for me to connect to the people.”

The featured photographs depict the lifestyle of Newari community in the Kathmandu Valley. The photographs on display are printed in either in 4x6 inch paper, 8x12 inch paper or 12x18 photo paper.

All the photographs are on sale.

The exhibition will continue until December 18.
