Musician Raiman Rai commits suicide

Singer Rai, who was living with his paternal aunt at Srijana Chowk, Dharan-11, was found hanging in his room at 1am yesterday night.
Rai, originally from Bhojpur, was working as a temporary teacher in a local school here. He had given music to over five dozen songs and was in the music industry since 15 years.
Likewise, singer Rai had two albums—Manan and Mix—under his belt and was the former chairman of the Kirat Rai Sanskritik Kalakaar Sangh.
Singer Rai’s friend and chairman of Sunsari-chapter of Kirat Rai Sanskritik Kalakaar Sangh, Mahendra Rai informed that Raiman was suffering from mental illness. Raiman would say that ‘someone wanted to murder him and was following him,’ said Mahendra.
Meanwhile, Rai’s body has been sent to BPKIHS for postmortem.
