The play, which brings to stage the story of caste-based discrimination prevalent even today in many parts of the country, will be staged through April 1.
“The staging time has been extended owing to the widespread interest the play received from its audience,” said director Raj Shah. “The audience loved the drama so much that they urged us to extend the time and we were moved.”
Bukhyancha Mann, set in the Gandak region, brings into context the story that touches two families—one belonging to the “higher-caste”; the other “lower-caste”.
Along with director Shah himself, the play features actors Aaditya Sharma, Aarohi Sharma, Sudarshan Aryal, and Sharmila Nagarkoti, among others.
The play is currently being staged, everyday (except for Thurday) at 5 pm, till April 1. There will be an additional show at 1 pm on Saturday.
