Art contest for students in Jhapa
A forum of young artists based in the Eastern region, Dehi, organised a one-day arts contest at Mechinagar-10 in Jhapa on Friday.A forum of young artists based in the Eastern region, Dehi, organised a one-day arts contest at Mechinagar-10 in Jhapa on Friday.
Komal Shah of the East Horizon Secondary School won the first position at the event, while Suman Giri, of Mechi Model Academy, and Navaraj Gurung, of Pashupati Secondary School, secured second and third position, respectively.
Under the junior-level competition, student-artists Shreya Karki, Shailesh Rajbanshi and Aayush Kandel secured first, second and third position, respectively. The event was organised at the banks of Mechi River and the participants were asked to paint the location.
The artwork created by the winners will be up on display at Kala Sahitya Utsav slated to be held in Kakkadbhitta starting February 23.
