Art exhibition, titled Poetry, which featured works by Bangladeshi artist Nargis Parvin has concluded at Mithila Yain Art Gallery, in Thamel, on Monday.

Speaking about Parvin’s work, senior artist Shashi Bikram Shah said, “It comes as a fresh breath of air to witness Parvin’s work when the country is stricken with political instability and strikes.”

Lauding Parvin’s “unique artistic sensibilities,” Shah added, “The exhibit brings the distinguished Bengali art culture, which helps to strengthen the bond the two countries share.”

Artist Parvin mentioned her work is based on Eastern art traditions. “This exhibit has worked as a bridge. While getting to exhibit my work in Nepal, which has a rich artistic tradition, is itself an honour, I have also gotten to know the contemporary art practices in the country,” Parvin said.
