The theatre on Wednesday opened its doors to audiences with the screening of the animated flick Kung Fu Panda 3.
Managed by TeamQuest, a company run in collaboration by partners Nakim Uddin, Bhaskhar Dhungana and Rajesh Siddhi, QFX Cinemas has, in a short period of time, revolutionalised the movie-going culture in the Capital and beyond.
Nakim Uddin, who welcomed the first-ever audiences at the location, expressed his excitement over the launch of the new multiplex. “I am looking forward to hearing people’s reactions, especially from the denizens of the Patan area,” he said speaking to the Post. He claims, “This movie hall is at par with any international multiplex, in fact it’s much better due our new technology and sound system.”
QFX Labim is the first multiplex in the country to have a 4k screen technology which provides a better quality of picture. The theatre is also equipped with the 4A sound system, which is set to enhance the viewing experience further.
The multiplex has three theatres which can seat 180 movie goers each. “QFX Labim focuses on simplicity. Jai Nepal and Kumari have been more youth oriented but now we look forward to sophistication, hence, we have tried to make our menu as simple as possible,” Uddin informs. He says the ticket prices are slightly higher than the other existing QFX cinemas. The new multiplex will open its door to the movie enthusiasts by this weekend. Labim Mall, which houses the new movie theatre, is also nearing completion and will begin within three months.
