Legendary novel Ek Chihan adapted into play
Hridaya Chandra Singh Pradhan’s most popular novel Ek Chihan has been adapted into a play and is currently being staged at the Aarohan Gurukul, in Biratnagar.

Hridaya Chandra Singh Pradhan’s most popular novel Ek Chihan has been adapted into a play and is currently being staged at the Aarohan Gurukul, in Biratnagar. The novel was adapted into play by Ramesh BG; which has been directed by Birendra Hamal.
Although the novel was published back in 1956, the theme and the social message it evokes are equally relevant to present Nepali society, said the organisers.
The play features actors Ramesh KC, Anju Ranjitkaar, Goran Chaudhari, Laxmi Pandey, Bipin Ghimire, Rohit Subedi, Sushila Thapa, and Aakash Thapa, among others. The play is currently having three shows daily and will run through March 9.
